Memorandum of Understanding for Academic Exchange and Cooperation between CBA and Beijing Normal University

In recognition of their complementary strengths and in order to cope with the challenges and complexity of the 21st century, the Carl Benz Academy and the Beijing Normal University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Academic Exchange and Cooperation.

The two institutions have agreed to cooperate in order to improve the quality of their scientific research and professional education programs, with an initial focus on systems science, Big Data, climate and energy issues.

Founded in Beijing in 1902 and under the administration of the Ministry of Education, the Beijing Normal University is one of the most renowned higher education institutions in P.R. China. It is recognized for its expertise in teacher-education, education science and in basic learning in both the arts and scientific disciplines.

The Carl Benz Academy develops tailor-made executive education for working professionals, offering innovative and internationally accredited study programs in cooperation with leading universities in China, Germany and the United States.

Under the guidance of international expert Dr Dana Schuppert, the MOU was signed on 23 February 2016 in Beijing and represents the beginning of what both parties expect to be a fruitful and long-term partnership bringing substantial benefit to the institutions, their students, and the broader community.
